Devotional Thought

Do you have a wishlist?

Sometimes as christians we go to God with a long wishlist. Sometimes we question Him. You may ask,” why don’t I have the car I want, or the house I want, why don’t I have a spouse, why can’t I finish school, why didn’t I get the promotion, why can’t I have children or lose weight or why am I still struggling with the same sickness?”. “Why are you taking so long to answer my prayers?” Some also get frustrated especially when others around them are blessed. “When will it be my turn Lord?”

Friends, as humans, our understanding is limited. We can only see what is infront of us and sometimes not clearly as all that glitters is not gold. We can only see the now but God sees the future. He knows when will be the perfect time for the car, the house, the spouse, to finish school or to get the promotion, kids, healing and whatever other blessing you seek.

You see, God works in marvellous ways. His ways are beyond our understanding. He sees what you can’t see. So stop being so anxious and trust that He knows what is best for you.

Take that wishlist, leave complaining and frustration behind, pray and trust that God has your best interest at heart.
